We are proud to announce that Emergency Response Team of Weida Resources Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of WEIDA, has achieved an outstanding milestone by winning the Sabah Emergency Response Team Competition 2026 – Manufacturing Sector Champion.
The team also emerged as Champion in both Iron Man category and Fire Fighting & Protection category for year 2026.
This achievement reflects the strong commitment, discipline, teamwork, and continuous training culture within Weida Resources Sdn Bhd. The role of the ERT is extremely important in our company, as the team serves as the first line of response during emergencies and plays a crucial role in protecting our employees, workplace, assets, and surrounding environment.
Fire safety is not only a compliance requirement, but a key part of our company’s safety culture. Continuous training and development of our fire safety team ensure that our ERT members are always prepared, confident, and capable of responding effectively during emergency situations.
The Sabah ERT Competition 2026 is part of our long-term programme to strengthen emergency preparedness, enhance fire safety knowledge, build leadership, and develop strong team spirit among our members. Through this platform, our ERT team continues to grow in skills, confidence, and unity.
