Sibu Child Council Charity Walk : Serving the Environment, Supporting the Community

06 December, 2025

On 6 December 2025, Sar-Alam Indah Sdn. Bhd. (‘SAI’) a subsidiary of WEIDA, joined the Sibu Child Council Charity Walk at Permai Lake Garden, held in conjunction with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The event brought together community leaders and families, including Sibu Municipal Council Deputy Chairman Cr. Mohammed Abdullah Izkandar Roseley, Sibu Child Council Taskforce Chairman & SMC Councillor Cr. Kiing Teck Ho, SRDC Councillor Cr. Kevin Lau, representatives from the Sibu Methodist Care Centre and Sar-Alam Indah Sdn. Bhd. Manager Lau Yih Horng, who led the SAI team on-site.

As a company dedicated to essential environmental services, we support initiatives that promote awareness, inclusivity and healthy lifestyles for families — especially those with children with disabilities.

As part of our commitment, SAI contributed RM5,000 to the Sibu Methodist Care Centre, the event’s sole beneficiary, in support of their meaningful work with vulnerable groups in Sibu.

Our involvement reflects our alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

✅ SDG 3 & SDG 10 – promoting healthy lifestyles and reducing inequalities for children with disabilities

✅ SDG 11 & SDG 17 – fostering inclusive communities and strong partnerships with SMC, NGOs and civic groups

At SAI, we are not only a wastewater management specialist — we are also a community-focused company that believes in contributing to the well-being of the people we serve. Caring for the community goes hand in hand with caring for the environment.
