The award was presented on 17 October 2026 during the IEM Miri Branch Annual Dinner 2026 by YB Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang, the Mayor of Miri, Sarawak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Presented by IEM Miri Branch, the <strong>IEM Miri<\/strong> <strong>Sustainability Excellence Award 2026<\/strong> recognises companies and engineering projects that demonstrate strong sustainability practices aligned with the <strong>Sarawak Sustainability Blueprint 2030<\/strong>. These practices encompass environmental performance, sustainable engineering, social impact, safety, resource efficiency and governance. The 2026 programme comprised three sector awards: <strong>Energy<\/strong>, <strong>Manufacturing &amp; Industrial<\/strong> and <strong>Construction \/ Infrastructure<\/strong>, as well as one <strong>Sustainable Project Award.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong>Construction \/ Infrastructure sector<\/strong>, Weida was recognised for its sustainable manufacturing and infrastructure solutions. These include resource-efficient and recyclable products, sustainable construction technologies, green and water-efficient design, waste-reduction measures and initiatives that extend product lifespan\u2014contributing to safe, reliable and sustainable development that creates lasting value for communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the event, we had the opportunity to share with our manufacturing capabilities to distinguished guests, highlighting how we create greater value for the local economy. We remain committed to advancing these sustainability priorities while contributing to the continued development of Sarawak and Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We extend our sincere appreciation to IEM Miri Branch for this recognition and the opportunity to participate.
